Description: In this guitar lesson I will show you how to play a solo over chord changes. ► Grab the FREE PDF for this lesson HERE crescent-ridge-publishing-llc.ck.page/1bc4541538 (After publishing the video, as student discovered a small tablature error in the last 2 notes of the "jazz lick." Please download, or re-download the corrected PDF to ensure you have the lick exactly as I played it.) --- When I play jazz lines, many students ask me "what SCALE is that?" And I say "It's not a scale or a mode!" Scales and modes are NOT the solution for soloing on fast chord changes, this is a HUGE misunderstanding. The solution is to be aware of HARMONIC TONES (chord tones) and NON-HARMONIC TONES (notes outside the chord.) Just watch this lesson, and I'll also teach you a real "jazz lick" using these tools.
